19 years of building partnerships, making a difference and helping children enjoy being active.
This year, Time4Sport celebrated 19 years of supporting schools, children and families across Staffordshire and Cheshire. Since we first started in 2007, we’ve grown our services, developed our team and built long-standing relationships with schools and communities across the region.
But what is it that makes schools choose Time4Sport, and more importantly, what makes them stay? To mark our 19th anniversary, we asked some of the schools we work with to share why they chose us and what they value most about our partnership. Here’s what they had to say.
A trusted provider with a strong reputation
For many schools, recommendations and reputation played an important part in choosing Time4Sport. Previous experience, word of mouth and seeing the impact of our work in other schools have helped us build relationships across the region.
Kristina Morgan, Class Teacher and PE Lead at Silverdale Primary Academy, told us that strong recommendations from other schools helped influence their decision.
Lindsey Brown, Headteacher at Sir John Offley CE (VC) Primary School, also highlighted our previous experience, reputation and the growth of the services we offer.
We’re proud that so many of our partnerships have grown through recommendations from schools who know and trust our team.
Great people, great relationships
One thing that came through time and time again was the importance of our staff. Schools value having knowledgeable, professional coaches who are reliable, consistent and take the time to get to know their pupils, staff and school community. At The Willows Primary School, PE Lead Steph Smalley explained how having a familiar member of the team returning year after year has helped them become part of the school family.
Similarly, Kirsty Broome, Headteacher at Hassell Primary School, highlighted our consistent staff, great coaching and willingness to support the school beyond regular PE sessions, including sports days, healthy lifestyle courses and transition activities.
These relationships matter to us too. We believe that understanding each school’s routines, expectations and children is a big part of delivering a service that genuinely makes a difference.
Quality, knowledge and making an impact
Schools also spoke about the quality of our coaching, the knowledge of our team and the positive impact our sessions have on children.
Steve Drew, Headteacher at Springcroft Primary School, shared some particularly lovely feedback:
“Above all, our children love their sessions and are becoming more active, confident and resilient as a result.”
He also highlighted our well-planned, well-resourced sessions, strong relationships and commitment to delivering activities that are right for children, whatever their starting point.
At The Crescent Academy, PE Lead Sharell Barker praised our knowledgeable team and the difference we’ve made to the profile of PE across the school, as well as the opportunities available to pupils.
We’re passionate about helping schools deliver more than just a PE lesson. Whether that’s supporting teachers through CPD and mentoring, introducing new sports and enrichment opportunities or helping children develop confidence and a love of being active, we want every session to count.
More than just PE
Our partnerships with schools often extend well beyond curriculum PE. From breakfast and after-school clubs to holiday camps, swimming, wellbeing support, sports days and enrichment activities, we aim to provide a range of services that support the wider needs of schools and their communities. Steve Drew at Springcroft Primary School summed this up particularly well, highlighting how our wider offer fits with their holistic approach to every child.
At Ellison Primary Academy, PE Lead Alex Lambert also valued our approachable, community-focused approach, alongside the enrichment opportunities and alternative sports we provide.
Being a local, Staffordshire-based organisation means we understand the schools and communities we work with. We take pride in being a provider that schools can rely on, work alongside and grow with.
19 years on, we’re still looking forward
We’re incredibly grateful to all the schools who took the time to share their feedback. Their comments reflect what we’ve always wanted Time4Sport to be: a trusted partner that delivers quality, builds lasting relationships and puts children at the heart of everything we do.
Our 19th anniversary is a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come, but we’re just as excited about what comes next. To the schools who have worked with us over the years, thank you for your continued trust and support. And to those who don’t know us yet, we’d love to show you what a partnership with Time4Sport could look like.
